Elephant Ollie began at the end of 2011 when we saw a gap in the New Zealand market for a super-absorbent bib. We wanted to find something that was functional and fashionable for our son Finn, who as an infant, was affected by colic and reflux, and was very a spilly baby. 

We happened upon a 3-layered bib option which was life changing!  Many hours of absorption, no leakage, quick drying and reduced loads of washing.  We wanted to create a range of 3-layered bibs that we we could supply direct to customers, and to Souvenir and Boutique shops. It was paramount that these were NZ-made!  We did not want to have our products made off-shore – this was incredibly important to us.  Since this, Elephant Ollie has grown to include a variety of bibs in the range, as well as other baby and children’s items.

All Elephant Ollie products are designed and handcrafted in New Zealand. Elephant Ollie believes strongly in supporting and using local and other New Zealand businesses to create its products.

FUN FACT - Our children Ellie and Finn are the inspiration behind the brand name.

Ellie + Finn = Elephant, whilst Oliver = Ollie (a friend's son) completed the brand name Elephant Ollie.
